My mission is to structure mutually beneficial deals with other potential investors and at the same time help individuals out of particularly difficult financial situations. I feel that this and much more can be accomplished by simply PROVIDING OPTIONS.

As you might have guessed, my name is Troy Hamlett and yes I am very interested in getting into real estate investing. I primarily created this website as a means of recording my progress in the real estate investment arena. Also, I hope to motivate and possibly educate other would-be investors who have the thought of real estate investment rattling around in the back of their minds.
I have been interested in real estate for some time. I had been toying with the idea of investing since back in 2010 or so. I had experienced the uncertainty of the job market first hand. I have been laid off from a good job when the economy took a downturn. What really caused me to lock-in and get insanely focused on real estate investment as a serious vehicle to attain the things I wanted in life was Hurricane Sandy. Sandy was a wet and windy ball of destruction which decimated my hometown of Atlantic City in late 2012 and in the process swept most of my worldly possessions into the Atlantic ocean. Many of my family members and other people I know were displaced, most notably my father. My father was completely wiped out and lost everything. I'll never forget the feeling of helplessness I felt about not being in the position to help him piece things back together.
Since hurricane Sandy I have really been driven to materialize my real estate dream. I made it my goal to learn as much about the topic as possible. I used every minute of free time to throw myself into the books. I've digested the classics, Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Millionaire Real Estate Investor, The ABC's of Real Estate Investing, etc. I'm sure there are patrons of a particular Barnes & Noble that likely thought I was part of the furniture. That being said I am ready to get more hands-on with my education. I am looking to join a REIA and start building relationships.  My plan is to start small and progress into commercial real estate.
